Privacy

This is a directory of things I've built. It sells nothing, takes no payment, and has no account system. The list of what it collects is correspondingly short.

Counting visits

Google Analytics 4, so I can see which projects people actually click through to. It stays switched off until you accept the notice at the foot of the page. Decline and the tag is disabled outright, so no request is sent and no cookie is written. Your answer is stored in your own browser under rh-consent.

Accepting means Google receives a truncated IP address, the pages viewed, an approximate city, and browser and device type. A roll-up property is also configured, which is the reason a visit that crosses from here to one of the project sites counts as one session instead of restarting.

The notify list

The form on the Garden of Revolution page sends your email address to Kit. It's used for one thing: telling you a volume is out. One email per volume, nothing else, and unsubscribe is one click. Kit sees the address and the signup date.

Leaving this site

Links here go to Amazon, GitHub, and my other project sites. Each of those applies its own privacy policy the moment you arrive. I don't run advertising pixels here and there's no affiliate tracking on the book links.

Hosting

Static files on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs requests for security and abuse handling. No database, no server-side code.

Removing yourself

Unsubscribe from any Kit email, or write to ryan@ryan-heltemes.com and ask. For analytics, decline the notice or clear your browser data. UK and EU visitors may complain to their national data protection authority.
